Job summary

PMC Works in Michigan is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to support both office and field operations for commercial and industrial electrical projects. You will estimate costs, plan schedules, manage budgets, and oversee projects from start to finish.

The ideal candidate has a background as a journeyman electrician, foreman, or project manager, with strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years experience as a journeyman electrician, electrical foreman, electrical estimator, or electrical project manager.
• Knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems and installation practices.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and electrical requirements.
• Experience with project estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
• Familiarity with construction management software; McCormick Estimating experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and assist with project bids for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Manage projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout.
• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, materials, and other project resources.
• Monitor project costs, timelines, and budgets to ensure projects stay on track.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot electrical installation issues.
• Ensure all work meets applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate project meetings, document submittals, and project-related paperwork.
• Maintain organized electronic project files and documentation.
• Collect and maintain subcontractor documentation, including certificates of insurance and W-9 forms.
