Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 8 years in electrical industry with 2 years as foreman.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with management systems: scheduling, cost reports, estimating, safety documentation, quality control.
• Ability to plan manpower and avoid overtime spikes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Must have own tools.
• Driving record acceptable; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a crew of technicians, apprentices and laborers on a job site.
• Confer with management, owners, contractors, and designers to resolve issues.
• Schedule the project to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to sites.
• Plan, organize, and direct activities for construction and maintenance.
• Explain plans and contract terms to staff and clients.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with architects, clients and subcontractors.
• Direct and mentor foremen and electrical technicians for promotion.
• Monitor budgets to ensure cash flow and profitability.
• Inspect projects for compliance with codes and regulations.
