Job summary

VarcoMac, a leading electrical contractor in the DMV region, is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to support commercial and healthcare projects from estimate through closeout.

Reporting to the Electrical Division Manager, you will manage scope, schedule, cost, and contract changes, ensuring proper approval and integration into project plans. Healthcare experience is preferred and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience managing electrical construction projects, including estimating and preconstruction.
• Experience on healthcare construction projects preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial and healthcare electrical projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and bid documents.
• Analyze plans and specs to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop bid proposals and support project pursuits.
• Maintain estimating files and historical project data.
• Support change management and project handoffs.
