Electrical Estimator – Onsite Commercial Construction

Job summary

VarcoMac is seeking an experienced Estimator to support our preconstruction and estimating team on commercial electrical projects, from data centers to offices. You will independently prepare estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to win pursuits.

The role requires 3–5 years of proven estimating experience, proficiency with ConEst and Excel, and the ability to manage multiple bids with tight deadlines. On-site work in Odenton, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience estimating commercial construction.
• Experience with projects ranging from $50K to $100M.
• BS degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience with design-build and plan/spec.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial electrical projects.
• Read drawings, specs, and assign costs to bid documents.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing.
• Support bid development and presentations to leadership.
• Maintain estimating files and supporting data.
