Job summary

Jobot, a fast-growing electrical contractor based in Indianapolis, is seeking an Electrical Project Developer (Estimator) with 8–10+ years of experience to own the full lifecycle of commercial projects from opportunity to handoff. You will build takeoffs, develop relationships with GCs, and close bids while mentoring developing teammates.

You will report to the General Manager and collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer in a high-growth, non-union environment, with a commission-eligible

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years electrical project development or estimating.
• Ability to independently build takeoffs, scope electrical work, and price it competitively.
• Proven track record of winning business, not just submitting bids.
• Willingness to share knowledge informally with less experienced teammates.
• Experience in a non-union commercial electrical environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with GCs, owners, and referral sources to generate commercial opportunities.
• Qualify incoming bid opportunities and pursue larger office/industrial/institutional work.
• Walk job sites and review plans/specs to scope projects and perform takeoffs.
• Build competitive, profitable estimates and proposals to win bids.
• Present and negotiate proposals with GCs/owners to close deals.
• Hand off won projects with clear scope and budget to the field team.
• Manage personal pipeline and report on pipeline health and backlog.
