Big-D Careers is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the electrical scope on mission-critical data center projects in Reno, NV. The role supports planning, coordination, installation, commissioning, and turnover of electrical systems, collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and vendors.

Based in Reno, NV, the position emphasizes delivering safety-compliant, on-schedule, and within-budget electrical work that meets client specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1-5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, medium-voltage distribution, and power monitoring systems.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate electrical subcontractors, vendors, and field activities.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and electrical system designs.
• Track project schedules, procurement, and installation progress.
• Support quality control inspections and issue resolution.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
• Coordinate equipment startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Manage project documentation, turnover packages, and as-built drawings.
• Participate in owner, subcontractor, and internal project meetings.
