Job summary

Big-D Mission Critical is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the electrical scope on mission-critical data center construction projects in Reno, NV. You will support planning, coordination, installation, commissioning, and turnover of electrical systems, partnering with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1-5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems including switchgear, generators, UPS, medium-voltage distribution, and power monitoring.

Description

Big-D Mission Critical is looking for a Project Engineer to focus on the electrical scope. The Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, installation, commissioning, and turnover of electrical systems on mission-critical data center construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, trade partners, and commissioning teams, this role helps ensure electrical scopes are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and client requirements. This position is based in Reno, NV.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical subcontractors, vendors, and field activities.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and electrical system designs.
