Southland Industries in Texas is seeking a project professional to support the team on smaller, less complex projects. You will estimate the impact of changes, manage change orders, procure equipment and services, and assist in selecting subcontractors while staying current on emerging trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Basic ERP skills to review and print job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including CADD and Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and informs management.
• Manages change orders and ensures they are completed accurately and tracked.
• Procures equipment, materials and services; participates in subcontractor selection and hiring.
• Stays current on emerging trends.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed.
