Job summary

CEMS Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for electrical design from concept to completion at our Summerville, SC office.

Ideal candidates will handle interior and exterior power distribution, lighting, lighting control systems, and telecommunications with strong communication skills. Minimum requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering, familiarity with NFPA 70, and 4+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70, National Electrical Code.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and other standard MS Office programs.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Ability to travel and perform field site visits documenting current conditions as well as attending client design conferences, reviews, and project meetings.

Project Engineer I

CEMS Engineering|Architecture is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in electrical design for projects from concept to completion. This position is located at our Summerville, SC office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of interior and exterior power distribution, lighting, lighting control systems, and telecommunications. The individual will serve as an electrical systems designer working on a wide variety of projects located primarily along the east coast. Candidates should have a sound technical foundation and strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Federal clients is a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70, National Electrical Code.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and other standard MS Office programs.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Ability to travel and perform field site visits documenting current conditions as well as attending client design conferences, reviews, and project meetings.

Preferred:

• Professional licensure in SC.
• DoD or GSA design experience.
• Power distribution and generation design.
• Telecommunications design.
• Autodesk Revit experience.
• EasyPower experience.
• Lighting analysis software experience.
• LEED AP certification.
• Established NCEES record for licensure by comity in other states as needed.
• Writing and editing technical specifications.
