GFT is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Building and Places Team in Raleigh, NC, with collaboration across Mechanicsburg, PA. The role follows a hybrid work model and requires regular office presence.

The electrical team focuses on efficient and sustainable building systems, delivering robust power, lighting, IT, and safety solutions. You will lead design and construction tasks, coordinate with clients and agencies, and ensure projects meet quality standards on time and on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with electrical focus.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in electrical systems engineering and design.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within two years of employment.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes.
• Experience with facility surveys, feasibility studies, design, specifications, cost estimating, and construction support.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; BIM/Revit experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform site surveys of existing conditions to interface new designs with existing electrical and control systems.
• Design electrical systems including low/medium voltage power, standby generation, lighting, IT networks, access control, security and fire alarm systems.
• Provide construction support including shop drawing reviews and field surveys; coordinate with clients and agencies.
