Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Raleigh, NC, offering a hybrid schedule with a $120,000–$160,000 annual salary. The role focuses on design and implementation of electrical systems for commercial and education projects within a growing AEC firm.

The candidate will lead power systems design, perform critical studies, and ensure NEC compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A PE license and five years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience, with high voltage and power systems.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and safety standards; PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement electrical designs for power systems, ensuring customer specs and industry standards.
• Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, standards, and regulations for electric power equipment.
• Conduct arc flash, load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies.
• Create and modify electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams; troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and timelines.
• Maintain knowledge of NEC and safety standards.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• continually improve processes and systems for efficiency.
