Job summary

K2 Electric in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Project Engineer to manage project logistics and assist the field team with implementation. You will support the Project Manager from start to closeout, coordinating schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders to keep projects on track.

The role requires construction/engineering experience, strong communication, plan reading, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel and PlanGrid. On-site work in a commercial electrical setting is expected.

Qualifications

• Intermediate PC literacy with MS Word/Excel and construction software.
• Ability to read and understand prints/designs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
• Experience in a project engineering/support role in construction.

Responsibilities

• Organize Project Plan Files in PlanGrid and consolidate sheets.
• Cross reference trade sheets for power requirements.
• Write RFIs and post responses on active sheets; notify team of updates.
• Price standard and potential change orders; log changes and track costs.
• Schedule pre-construction coordination meetings and document action plans.
• Track submittals to purchase order release; maintain procurement logs.
