Farnsworth Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in one of the locations listed below. In this role, qualified candidates will lead the day-to-day production of industrial, oil & gas, and other technically complex projects.
Posting Locations: Bloomington, Champaign, Lisle, Peoria, or Springfield, IL; Greenwood Village, CO (Denver Tech Center); and St. Louis, MO
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects involving electrical design, including Power distribution, Lighting, Telecommunications, Controls, Renewable Energy Systems, and MV systems for industrial and oil & gas sectors.
- Engage in code research, fieldwork, preliminary schematics, calculations, equipment specification, layout, coordination, and preparation of electrical drawings and specifications.
- Interface with other disciplines, clients, and contractors, maintaining project budgets and schedules while ensuring quality.
- Mentor engineers, designers, and drafters; report to an engineering manager who provides professional growth opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Electrical engineer with 8-15 years of experience in complex system design.
- BS in Electrical Engineering; PE license required.
- Experience in industrial power, controls, and MV systems; proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and pass background checks; NCEES Record holder and knowledge of Navisworks, SKM PowerTools, or ETap are preferred.
