Job summary

Gilbert Mechanical, a Legence company, seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to oversee electrical systems installation in commercial and industrial buildings in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

You will support estimating, design and project management teams to deliver customer satisfaction. The role requires strong communication and leadership to collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience in electrical construction or project management may be considered.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination, or related design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and develop proposals for electrical construction projects.
• Coordinate electrical system design and equipment selection for design-build projects.
• Assist project managers from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
• Direct and supervise project activities to meet safety, quality, schedule and budget goals.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and shop drawings for accuracy.
• Support commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and turnover activities.
