JMT is seeking a degreed electrical engineer with the desire to work within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment within a growing organization. The role involves working with senior engineering staff from initial conceptual electrical design to construction and commissioning of projects across various facilities. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with a diverse team to solve complex problems and ensure quality control. The ideal candidate is motivated to excel and see challenges as opportunities for growth.

Typical projects include facilities engineering and design in educational, public works, water/wastewater, transportation, transit, healthcare, and aviation sectors. Candidates with experience in building electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, security, CCTV, access control, and communication systems are preferred.

Compensation ranges from $100K to $145K, based on experience, education, and certifications. Benefits include an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), paid leave, holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and education reimbursement.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  1. Perform design computations
  2. Design projects according to client specifications using appropriate software
  3. Develop construction cost estimates
  4. Prepare contract plans, specifications, and estimates
  5. Attend client meetings
  6. Coordinate with team members to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met
Required Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of NEC, IBC, and NFPA codes for electrical design
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 5-10 years of relevant electrical experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Autodesk CADD, and Revit
  • Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Bentley Microstation, electrical modeling software, lighting modeling software, and electrical testing tools
  • Experience with government agencies and codes
Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork requiring outdoor activity and regional travel. Some lifting may be necessary.
