Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking an Electrical Project Control Engineer for the Circleville, OH facility. You will scope, engineer, design, and install projects, including new installations and modifications to existing processes, collaborating with contractors, operations, maintenance, vendors, and EHS to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

The role reports to the Engineering Services Manager and involves developing plans, budgets, schedules, and oversight of outages, with strong focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of controls/DCS/PLC experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming in industrial settings preferred.
• Experience with GE Proficy iFix SCADA, HMI, and historian software is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; ability to conceptualize systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and communicate them to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Create scope documents, obtain bids, oversee construction, coordinate outages, and assist startups.
• Develop budgets and schedules to complete projects within constraints.
• Track spending from conception to commissioning and report trends.
• Assist in diagnosing operational problems and perform maintenance troubleshooting.
• Oversee process control installations and plant power distribution at the Resin Plant.
