Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in installation and maintenance.
• Proven experience managing capital projects with emphasis on power distribution in industrial settings.
• In-depth knowledge of medium and low voltage power distribution design, protective relays, switchgear, transformers, and MCCs.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems, including PLC programming and HMI development.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Expertise in power distribution system design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and control system issues.
• Excellent communication and leadership to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with control system integration and architecture.
• Commitment to EH&S best practices.
• Familiarity with Arc Flash studies and electrical safety program development.

Responsibilities

• Capital Project Management: Lead design, planning, and execution of power distribution systems for large capital projects.
• Project Leadership: Act as Electrical Project Lead, developing scopes, costs, schedules, and coordinating teams.
• Power Distribution Expertise: Design and specify MV/LV distribution equipment, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and protective relays.
• Controls Integration: Collaborate with controls engineers to integrate systems with PLCs, HMIs, DCSs, and SCADA.
• Technical Oversight: Prepare specifications, review vendor proposals, and recommend equipment for reliability and safety.
• Field Support and Troubleshooting: Oversee installation and commissioning; provide hands-on support.
• Standards and Compliance: Develop electrical design standards, arc flash studies, and documentation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with production, maintenance, EH&S, and contractors.
