Job description

We are seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer to lead the electrical infrastructure strategy and engineering team for our next-generation, high-density AI data center infrastructure. You will own the complete power chain architecture—from high-voltage utility interconnects and medium-voltage (MV) distribution down to low-voltage (LV) rack delivery, backup generation, and liquid-cooling integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Power Design and Strategy: Define medium- and low-voltage power distribution topologies, redundancy frameworks (N+1, 2N), and self-generation/microgrid integration tailored for high-density machine learning workloads.
• Technical Leadership and Governance: Act as the company technical authority for critical electrical infrastructure, reviewing complex engineering designs, schematics, and equipment submittals.
• Power Systems Studies: Oversee and approve rigorous electrical calculations including short-circuit analysis, load flow modeling, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies using tools like ETAP or SKM PowerTools.
• Operations and Handover: Manage the commissioning-to-operations transition for new builds, approving high-risk Method of Procedures (MOPs) and leading root-cause analysis (RCA) on any critical electrical events.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with mechanical/HVAC teams, cooling vendors, construction managers, and utility providers to scale rack densities safely and efficiently.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience: 15+ years of industrial-scale power systems engineering, with at least 5+ years in a principal, chief, or director-level role managing hyperscale data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Technical Expertise: Deep hands‑on knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, diesel/gas backup generators, UPS topologies, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and busway distribution. Good understanding and experience integrating renewable energy sources to the total power solution.
• AI/HPC Expertise: Proven track record handling the unique continuous load profiles and thermal constraints of high-density AI accelerator clusters.
