EWI is recruiting experienced Electrical Production Technicians to support a major manufacturing operation based in Iowa.
We are looking for electrically skilled professionals with experience in manufacturing, electrical assembly, automotive or industrial equipment who are interested in joining a growing US manufacturing operation.
The position will involve the assembly, installation and testing of electrical systems and components within a modern production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install electrical components and systems.
- Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors and control systems.
- Use electrical testing equipment to verify continuity and system functionality.
- Follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and detailed work instructions.
- Use multimeters, crimping tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Complete assigned production activities safely and within required manufacturing schedules.
- Handle, position and move materials and components throughout the production process.
- Carry out safety inspections and maintain a clean and organised working environment.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical connectivity issues.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement activities.
- Support mechanical assembly and other production areas when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in electrical assembly, manufacturing or a similar hands-on technical environment.
- Experience within automotive, heavy manufacturing, energy or industrial equipment would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience using multimeters, crimping tools and electrical diagnostic equipment.
- Previous overhead crane experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required crane operator certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Electrical certifications or technical training are advantageous.
- Willingness to obtain relevant electrical safety certifications.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable undertaking physically demanding work including standing, walking, climbing, stooping and kneeling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider production team.
