Job summary

RTX is seeking an electrical engineering intern for onsite work in Tucson, AZ. You will collaborate with operations and engineering disciplines to resolve issues during production, testing, and integration, and gain hands-on experience with RF, analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor's or higher in EEE or STEM, with sophomore or higher standing by summer 2027, and eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at a minimum, entering their Sophomore by the start of summer 2027.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • This position requires experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and/or digital signal processing

What You Will Do:

  • One will achieveaRTX Core Certification and a Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) Certification
Qualifications You Must Have:

QualificationsWe Prefer:
  • Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, EO,RF,Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem;including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tiersuppliersupport oftest equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control,printed circuit board fabrication,circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS),Advanced Design System (ADS), Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, inertial measurement units (IMU)and Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver subsystems.
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices.
  • Leadership of small technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking& reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
