Job summary

Vertiv in Pelzer, SC seeks an Electrical Production Supervisor to lead the electrical assembly floor, ensuring all wiring, control panels and assemblies meet blueprints and NEC/NFPA safety codes. You will train staff, optimize line efficiency, and direct setup, testing, and adjustment of production lines.

The role requires strong leadership, expertise in electrical systems, and a hands-on approach to continuous improvement within a high-growth facility.

Qualifications

• Three years of leadership experience in electrical assembly or related manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety practices including LOTO and NFPA 70E.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with wiring, crimping, and torque equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Line management of electrical assembly lines and staffing based on production schedules.
• Ensure compliance with wiring schematics, engineering specs and NEC/NFPA safety standards.
• Lead daily shift meetings to communicate targets, safety protocols, and process updates.
• Monitor throughput and provide real-time feedback on performance and quality.
• Direct workflow, tooling, and calibration within electrical cells.
• Conduct shift handovers and review production metrics with outgoing supervisors.
• Troubleshoot line issues and assist operators with adjustments.
• Control labor costs by reducing overtime via balance and bottleneck resolution.
• Ensure tools and equipment are ready before shifts start.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and production managers on directives.
• Maintain shift metrics and test pass rates in reports.
