Job summary

Vertiv in Pelzer, SC is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industrial electrician experience, NEC knowledge, and the ability to work overtime or different shifts as needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or associate degree in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Licensed Electrician in South Carolina or ability to obtain license preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local codes and company standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete work accurately.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility electrical systems to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational efficiency.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety procedures at all times.
• Document maintenance, repair activities, and parts usage in maintenance management systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending upgrades to electrical systems or processes.
