Job summary

Stellantis is seeking an Electrical Production Execution Engineer responsible for directing troubleshooting and repair activities across engineering, supplier sub-assembly, and manufacturing facilities for prototype and production vehicles.

The role supports launch activities at plants, coordinates with component releasing engineers, and leads cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues while documenting results and validating electrical performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (ABET accredited).
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, willing and able to drive and test vehicles.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
  • Troubleshooting experience with vehicle systems at assembly plants, road trips, pilot build areas and proving grounds.
  • Familiarity with electrical debugging tools such as a digital multimeter, oscilloscope, CAN diagnostic tools (CANoe/CANalyzer).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of software and modeling concepts.
  • Self-starter with ability to lead and direct a cross-functional team.

Job description

Stellantis is seeking an Electrical Production Execution Engineer is responsible for directing and coordinating troubleshooting and repair activities at engineering, supplier sub-assembly, manufacturing facilities, special events, and fleet locations for prototype and production level vehicles.

The Engineer will support a variety of launch activities at assembly plants, pilot plants and/or supplier sub-assembly, conduct repairs, perform customer audit testing, participate in management update meetings, investigate problems found on early prototype engineering vehicles and coordinate interim and long-term solutions with the component releasing engineers.

The Engineer will also gather engineering teams from multiple engineering disciplines and direct them in solving complex vehicle problems, provide remote and direct support for dealerships experiencing difficult problems with vehicles and will work with zone representatives that are supporting vehicle dealerships and perform electrical validation testing and document results as required.

They will also support early initiatives with Process Standard (PS)/Diagnostic Definition Table (DDT) reviews, Product Assurance Team (PAT)/End-Of-Line (EOL) reviews, prove out required routines on bench and plywood buck, and assistance on plywood buck build and trouble shooting. Individuals may also support modular supplier EOL test development by interfacing with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) upfront to align with modular assemblers.

Interface with engineering cross functional teams to secure technical information, i.e., wiring designs, component diagnostics, etc. to supply to the modular assemblers to ensure issues are understood early in the program and maintain timing.

Review supplier processes to ensure test process flow is robust and can capture issues in-system. Document issues and program status to Vehicle Teams along with on-site reviews during each stage of the pilot programs including Start of Production.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials/Chemical/ Civil/Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license, willing and able to drive and test vehicles, able to obtain a chauffeur's license to drive heavy duty pick-up trucks.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
  • Troubleshooting experience with vehicle systems at assembly plants, road trips, pilot build areas and proving grounds
  • Familiarity with electrical debugging tools such as a digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, Control Area Network (CAN) diagnostic tools (CANoe/CANalyzer), current probes and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/Civil/Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CAN bus and experience using Vector CAN tools (CAN diagnostic tools, CANoe, CANalyzer.)
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical debugging tools such as a digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, current probes, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing vehicle and system level trouble shooting/root cause analysis and experience performing circuits analysis on the vehicle sub-systems.
  • Certified problem-solving skills (Reactive Quality Green Belt or Reactive Quality Black Belt).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
