Job summary

AOI in Sugar Land, Texas, is seeking a Production Engineer - Electrical to advance manufacturing operations through automation, equipment qualification, and data-driven problem solving.

You will develop, validate, and support automated equipment and production lines to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing performance. The role includes international travel and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
• Fundamental understanding of manufacturing or automation systems.
• Working knowledge of LabVIEW and at least one programming/scripting language.
• Hands-on exposure to equipment or production environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with RCA capability.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead production process improvements by identifying automation-based solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
• Lead and support qualification of new equipment, tools, and production lines (FAT, SAT, PVT).
• Interface with production lines to identify failures, design tests, and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze logs, qualification reports, and performance metrics.
• Support production by running, troubleshooting, and recovering equipment and automation stations.
• Monitor and analyze data to identify performance opportunities, yield improvements, and downtime reduction.
• Develop software and hardware solutions to validate unit-under-test requirements using LabVIEW, SQL, Python, PLC, and ML techniques.
• Travel 5–10% internationally.
• Perform other duties as needed.
