Job summary
AOI in Sugar Land, Texas is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of fab automation systems including AGV fleets, OHT, and smart inventory. You will work with vendors and cross-functional teams to configure, test, validate, and maintain material handling hardware and communications.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in a related engineering field as listed.
- Experience with AMHS, mobile robotics, OHT, AGV/AMR hardware.
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics and troubleshoot.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and commissioning of automated material handling systems.
- Develop and deliver hands-on training for automation technicians.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software faults to minimize downtime.
- Create SOPs, work instructions, safety training, and recovery protocols.
- Perform FAT/SAT for new automated equipment and systems.
