TUV SUD America is seeking an Electrical Product Safety Test Engineer in the United States. The role focuses on testing, evaluating, and documenting safety compliance for electrical/electronic products in line with national and international standards.

You will work onsite with hybrid options based on business needs and collaborate with senior engineers on diverse product areas. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of lab experience, hands-on measurement instrumentation, and strong

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical product safety testing or related lab environment.
• Working knowledge of IEC/UL 62368-1, 61010-1, 60601-1, 60335-1 or similar standards.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, hipot testers, leakage current testers, multimeters).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform product safety testing and evaluations for electrical/electronic products per applicable standards.
• Conduct leak current, dielectric strength, temperature, stability, mechanical and flammability tests.
• Review schematics, BOMs, manuals and drawings to support compliance investigations.
• Prepare and maintain test records, engineering notes, and reports under senior staff guidance.
• Communicate project status and compliance requirements with customers and internal teams.
• Assist with ISO/IEC 17025 quality system activities in the lab.
