EPI Power is hiring a Procurement Engineer to oversee the purchasing of materials for the Pre Fab Shop, order materials and services, monitor delivery status, and coordinate communication between project teams and suppliers. The role focuses on timely procurement and ensuring alignment with project schedules within The Weitz Company family.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a purchasing function
• Electrical experience preferred
• Understanding of material work planning and purchasing requirements
• High initiative and sound judgement
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage purchase orders and align material delivery with project schedules
• Support specification reviews, bid prep, submittal reviews, and supplier proposals
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely material arrival
• Track late or incorrect orders and expedite when needed
• Resolve payment and material discrepancies and pursue refunds if applicable
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract obligations are met
• Prepare and maintain department reports
• Assist with material inspection, factory testing, and meeting coordination
