Job summary

General Motors Africa & Middle East is seeking a Launch Electrical Process Coordinator to ensure electrical processes, BoO compliance, and tester readiness across GM facilities and supplier sites. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Development teams to drive quality during vehicle launches and ongoing production.

You will lead investigations, validate electrical testing equipment, and monitor metrics to identify improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of experience with automotive electrical systems or subsystems.
• Previous leadership as a Group Leader, Team Leader, or similar supervisory role.
• Willingness to work any assigned shift (1st or 2nd) based on business needs.
• Strong written and oral communication to translate technical issues to non-technical audiences.

**Job Description****The Role**The **Launch Electrical Process Coordinator** serves as a key technical resource during vehicle launch activities, ensuring manufacturing requirements, electrical standards, best practices, and Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) requirements are successfully implemented. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Product Development, and supplier teams to support the deployment, validation, and continuous improvement of electrical processes and in-process testing systems throughout General Motors manufacturing facilities and designated supplier locations. The L**aunch Electrical Process Coordinator** plays a critical role in delivering world-class vehicle quality, supporting successful launches, and driving operational excellence. **What You'll Do*** Collaborate as a member of a cross-functional Electrical Team consisting of representatives from Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Product Development to proactively identify and resolve vehicle quality concerns.* Ensure compliance with Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) requirements and manufacturing specifications across GM manufacturing facilities and supporting supplier locations.* Lead the investigation and resolution of electrical process and in-process tester issues, driving effective corrective and preventive actions to support launch and production quality objectives.* Complete required technical training at General Motors facilities and supplier locations, with travel required to support launch activities and business needs.* Participate in vehicle launch activities, including virtual builds, prototype builds, validation events, and production readiness activities, to support the successful implementation of electrical processes and systems.* Develop a comprehensive understanding of the vehicle build process and ensure electrical best practices, standards, and quality requirements are integrated throughout General Assembly operations.* Partner with suppliers and Manufacturing Engineering Vehicle Systems (MEVS) teams to develop, implement, and optimize in-process electrical testing systems, establish project timelines, and support product readiness objectives.* Lead validation activities for electrical testing equipment within GM manufacturing facilities and supporting supplier locations to ensure proper functionality, process compliance, and vehicle assembly quality.* Manage and support the Electrical 5F Tracking process for in-plant tester stations, utilizing data analysis to improve tester performance, increase pass rates, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.* Provide technical guidance and support to supplier facilities regarding tester performance, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and process improvements.* Monitor launch metrics, electrical test results, and quality performance indicators to identify trends, mitigate risks, and support successful program execution.* Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement while building strong partnerships across cross-functional teams and external suppliers. **Your Skills & Abilities*** Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.* At least one (1) year of experience working with automotive electrical systems, diagnostics, or related vehicle subsystems.* Previous leadership experience as a Group Leader, Team Leader, or in a comparable supervisory or team coordination role.* Willingness and flexibility to work any assigned shift, including 1st or 2nd shift, based on business needs.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment while supporting quality, safety, and operational objectives.* Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly to translate highly complex technical issues to non-technical people **What Will Give You a Competitive Edge*** Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience* Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve production and quality concerns.* Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and continuous improvement principles.* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
