Job summary

HDR is hiring an Electrical Principal in New Jersey to lead electrical design on complex building projects. You will coordinate a multidisciplinary team, work with clients, and ensure code compliance while driving project success.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years in electrical design, and proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical design software. This is an on-site, full-time position in Pennington, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board for the position location.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers with a multidisciplinary team on projects.
• Police client relations and participate in marketing, design and production meetings for electrical systems.
• Lead electrical on multiple projects as the electrical lead.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct schematic, design development and contract document sessions at project sites with PM and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Monitor project finances and align work efforts with budget and schedule.
• Mentor other electrical staff and coordinate with Project Manager and Regional Controller.
