Electrical Principal Engineer

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

What you’ll achieve

As an Electrical Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development activities associated with electronic designs. You will lead and manage all electrical activities inside Dell and ODMs from development to sustain phase. Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver high quality and cutting edge products for our customers.

You will:

1. Work with the design team, cross functional teams, suppliers, and key technical partners to ensure the design meets requirements for schedule, feature set, functionality, cost, quality, reliability, regulatory compliance, and industry standards compliance.
2. Review original design manufacturer and sub-tier vendor capability to support product development and production.
3. Design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems and ensure that designs integrate with the rest of product functions including mechanical and software.

Essential Requirements

1. Bachelor/Master EE with 6-8 years experience on Intel CPU design and Broadcom ASIC Hardware Development in 100G/400G/800G/1.6T Networking Switch Products.
2. Advanced leadership skills for driving cross functional groups, demonstrates problem solving capability and drive for results.
3. Advanced knowledge of analog and digital circuit theory and principles.
4. Advanced technology/engineering skills relating to design, test and quality.

Desirable Requirements

1. Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
