Job summary

NTH Consultants, Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Power Systems Project Engineer to develop and manage electrical power projects from Grand Rapids. The role involves bidding, client liaison, and leading cross‑functional teams to deliver designs, estimates, and field support.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, a Michigan P.E. license (or within 12 months), and 4+ years in power/renewables. Location flexibility includes Northville or Lansing offices with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; power/con­trol/renewables focus preferred.
• Michigan P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 4+ years in electrical power, renewable energy, construction, or industrial maintenance.
• Experience preparing proposals, estimates, schedules or budgets.
• Ability to work independently in utility, industrial, and construction environments.
• Ability to read and create complex electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong written and oral communication; capable of client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships; pursue repeat work.
• Bid, manage, and execute electrical power projects; lead meetings.
• Prepare designs, specifications, and cost estimates for power projects.
• Mentor staff engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Track project metrics: schedule, finances, invoicing, progress.
• Travel to customer sites for bid investigations and field support.
