Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the design and execution of electrical power system projects, including substations, upgrades, and retrofits. You will coordinate with internal teams and clients to deliver safe, compliant, and cost‑effective solutions.

The role requires 5–10+ years of electrical design or project engineering, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and proficiency with SKM PowerTools, ETAP, EasyPower, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10+ years of electrical design, power system engineering, or project engineering experience.
• Proficiency with power system modeling tools (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower).
• Experience reviewing vendor drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical power systems for substations, switchgear, transformers, and MCCs.
• Develop detailed electrical specifications, drawings, and control schematics.
• Perform system studies including short‑circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis.
• Develop relay settings for electromechanical and microprocessor relays.
• Review vendor design packages for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
