Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking an Applications Engineer to support technical solutions and proposals for complex electrical projects in Tulsa, OK. The role combines engineering, sales, procurement, and project execution, with on-site work and monthly remote flexibility.

You will review customer requirements, develop equipment selections, and prepare quotations, while collaborating with sales, engineering, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, or LV/MV equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with quotations, pricing, estimating, or proposals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication with customers, engineers, sales, and suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specs, drawings, and project requirements to define scope.
• Develop technical solutions, equipment selections, and cost estimates.
• Prepare quotations and proposals for electrical equipment and project packages.
• Determine material, labor, and services for proposed projects.
• Identify concerns early in the proposal process.
• Recommend alternatives to improve cost or delivery.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project teams.
• Provide technical support during discussions and handoffs.
