Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of the Electrical Power Services business. You will drive safe, efficient, and profitable execution of testing, commissioning, maintenance, and power systems projects while coordinating with project managers, field teams, and customers.

The role requires strong leadership, workforce planning, and performance management, with emphasis on safety compliance, budgeting, and continuous improvement to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, field service, utility operations, industrial maintenance, engineering services, power systems, or related industries.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing technical personnel, project teams, or field operations.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems, field service operations, project execution, and customer service.
• Experience managing operational performance, budgets, and project financials.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the execution of electrical testing, commissioning, maintenance, engineering, and power systems projects.
• Manage operational performance, workforce utilization, customer satisfaction, and profitability for assigned business operations.
• Lead project managers, field supervisors, project coordinators, and technical personnel to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project schedules, staffing levels, backlog, labor utilization, and resource allocation.
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, workforce development, and employee retention initiatives.
• Establish operational goals and performance expectations for assigned personnel.
