Job summary

Cache Valley Electric is seeking a full-time project manager to oversee electrical construction for water and wastewater facility projects in Salt Lake City. You will lead scope assessment, estimating, scheduling, cost control, and on-site coordination with owners, engineers, and contractors.

You’ll manage multiple projects from pre-construction to completion, ensure quality standards, and drive cost-efficiency while maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical construction, specifically in water and wastewater facilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards relevant to water and wastewater facilities.
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently from pre‑construction through completion.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with field personnel, office staff, customers, vendors, and owners.
• Knowledge of estimating and project management software.
• Ability to independently make informed decisions and commitments within company parameters.
• Microsoft Office suite experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial customer contact to assess scope, schedule, and resources.
• Prepare a complete estimate for the project with a detailed review of plans, specs, and bid forms.
• Establish project objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain documentation to track project progress.
• Monitor construction activities, progress, and resources to keep on schedule.
• Ensure appropriate quality standards.
• Represent the company with owners, design teams, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare, submit, and track project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, and close-out docs.
• Estimate and submit change orders.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company and maintain client relationships.
• Implement and manage project cost control strategies.
• Provide accurate forecasting and project control reporting.
• Perform purchasing activities using company purchasing support.
• Promote safe work practices.
