Actalent in Apex, NC, is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of large, technically complex industrial and life sciences construction projects with electrical scopes exceeding $30M. You will oversee preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.

The role requires strong leadership, coordination with internal teams and external partners, and the ability to manage complex electrical systems in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
• Experience managing large multi‑million dollar budgets and diverse teams.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specs and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of electrical project execution from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project budget, forecasting, labor tracking, and change control to sustain financial performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with field leadership and trade partners.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams for scope alignment and productivity.
• Drive procurement strategies and material release schedules to support operations.
• Serve as primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders for timely decisions.
• Ensure safety, quality and contract documents compliance across all phases.
• Review RFIs, submittals and change orders to maintain scope control.
• Collaborate with Superintendents to address constructability issues and mitigate risks.
• Provide clear reporting on financials, schedule status, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Lead closeout activities including punch lists and lessons learned.
