Job summary

gpac is seeking an Electrical Project Manager / Estimator for a well-established electrical contractor focused on commercial and industrial projects. This role combines project management with preconstruction activities and requires strong knowledge of electrical construction and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

The position involves estimating, takeoffs, coordinating with customers and subs, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring progress and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
• Experience with electrical estimating and project management.
• Ability to read electrical plans and specs.
• Experience with takeoffs, bids, and change orders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial/industrial projects.
• Review plans and bid documents to identify requirements and issues.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Develop material and labor takeoffs and bid proposals.
• Manage projects from award to completion.
• Develop and maintain schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, subs, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor progress, financials, change orders, and profitability.
• Review drawings and communicate scope to field personnel.
• Assist with procurement and material coordination.
• Identify risks and develop solutions to meet schedule and budget.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain client relationships.
• Support business development and identify future opportunities.
