Job summary

Prime Electric is seeking a Project Manager to lead small to medium‑scale electrical construction projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, budget adherence, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical PM experience, strong cost and scheduling knowledge, and proficiency with Accubid Estimating systems. Expect an in‑person, onsite role with travel to various sites and a focus on customer satisfaction and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field; 5+ years electrical project management experience or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of construction cost, scheduling, estimating and engineering principles and techniques.
• Proficiency in electrical estimating, including change orders and evaluating estimates.
• Experience with project management tools; familiarity with Accubid Estimating systems.
• Knowledge of integrated job cost systems, budgeting, reporting, and costing.
• Ability to build critical path schedules and understand construction sequencing.
• Experience with design‑build delivery models preferred.
• Ability to evaluate cost at completion and negotiate change orders.
• Proven leadership in managing people and teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on work procurement and identify new project opportunities.
• Lead the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure with safety and budget adherence.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timeline.
• Set clear expectations to team members and stakeholders.
• Proactively resolve issues throughout the project life cycle.
• Manage changes via change order forms and approvals.
• Lead, coach, and motivate project team members.
• Adhere to Safety Program and onsite safety practices.
• Maintain onsite presence and visit jobsites regularly.
