Job summary

Crest Steel Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing and material handling equipment. The role emphasizes high-voltage electrical systems, PLC controls, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting to maximize uptime.

The candidate will read schematics, operate diagnostic tools, and follow OSHA safety practices. Travel for training and on-call rotation may be required. First shift assignments apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems up to 480V.
• Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and programming modifications.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and material handling systems.
• Diagnose and repair high-voltage electrical systems, including motor controls and transformers.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens or equivalent).
• Read electrical schematics and technical manuals; perform preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safety through LOTO procedures and OSHA compliance.
• Support plant operations to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Maintain maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory.
