Job summary

Harpe Associates & Cemcon seeks an Electrical Superintendent for a heavy industrial facility in Cape Girardeau, MO. The role leads maintenance on electrical, instrumentation and control systems, guiding a team and coordinating outages to maximize reliability and safety.

The candidate will supervise personnel, manage capital projects, and ensure compliance with MSHA/OSHA and NFPA 70E. A strong background in industrial electricity and plant automation is essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical maintenance experience in cement, mining or heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with preventive, predictive and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical distribution, motor controls, PLCs, SCADA and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, instrumentation and controls maintenance activities across the plant.
• Supervise and develop electrical and maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate electrical work during outages, shutdowns and major maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot equipment and lead root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
• Maintain accurate work history and maintenance information within the CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout and company safety requirements.
