Job summary

Lighthouse Electric is seeking a Planning/Layout/Design Specialist to plan, layout, design, coordinate, and pre-fabricate for complex electrical projects. You will master construction documents, support preconstruction teams, and create detailed layout drawings in line with company standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years field experience or a Engineering degree, strong teamwork, and proficiency with BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Excel. Travel to local sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field construction experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience with team collaboration.
• Proficient in reading and understanding of all forms of construction documents.
• Ability to interpret 2D plans and provide input to a 3D model.

Responsibilities

• Maintains regular contact with project personnel and relationships with designers, owners, and subcontractors.
• Outlines job specifications and reviews material submittals for project requirements.
• Supports preconstruction, pre-fabrication and construction teams with electrical/systems/ construction related issues.
• Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials.
• Educates field personnel on layout/design processes and supports project efforts.
• Creates detailed layout drawings while adhering to company standards.
