Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the planning and reliability of Penn Power’s distribution systems. The position is based at the New Castle Service Center.

Key responsibilities include performing analysis for electrical infrastructure, supporting operations, and preparing budget estimates for system projects. Candidates are expected to have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 0-5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution required.
• 0-5 years engineering work experience required.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and operations desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and recommend solutions for electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare budget estimates and schedules for system projects.
• Conduct capacity and power quality studies as needed.
