The vocational paraprofessional works with the shop teacher to ensure that all students can be successful in their program. Paraprofessionals provide students with additional support, assist the shop teacher in maintaining a safe learning environment, and tailor activities to meet students' individual needs. In addition, they must have a genuine passion for working with a diverse student population to help all students succeed. Vocational paraprofessionals may be asked to cover multiple areas throughout the day.
Electrical license or experience preferred.
Southeastern is a diverse, multicultural vocational technical high school that serves over 1,600 students from the City of Brockton and eight surrounding towns. Our students balance the rigors of a complete academic course of studies with technical skill training in over 20 career majors. Upon graduation, our students are prepared for college, career, or additional technical training.
Paraprofessionals are school-year employees and are paid in 21 equal installments from September - June, or from the initial start date to the end date.
