Knight Material Technologies is hiring an Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Technician in East Canton, OH. This role supports production machinery, support equipment, and facility systems, prioritizing safety, regulatory compliance, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on motors, drives, PLCs, and hydraulics. Collaboration with engineers and teams is essential to deliver reliable equipment and minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance, repair, and rebuild work.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment, AC/DC motors, drives, schematics, and PLC-related systems.
• Understanding of NFPA 70E and safety practices.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety and compliance-focused work environment at all times.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results from precision instruments to troubleshoot equipment.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Repair or replace faulty mechanical and electrical components such as motors, pumps, drives, sensors, and valves.
• Install new electromechanical systems based on blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and teams on installations and upgrades.
• Document maintenance activities and test results in the CMMS.
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes.
