Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a skilled electrician to repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain routine electrical systems and equipment across diverse production facilities. You will work on control systems, industrial infrastructure, and integration of equipment to ensure safety and efficiency on site.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent with 5 years of related experience; an Apprentice graduate or Associate's Degree with 3 years related experience is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Apprentice graduate or associate's degree with 3 years related experience.
• Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment.
• Modifies, aligns, calibrates, designs, programs, installs, tests and troubleshoots electrical systems including control systems.
• Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit as required.
• Inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding; tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
