Job summary

Hunter Industries is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our Contract Manufacturing team. In this role you will identify and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and projects focused on minimizing product cost, improving product quality, and maintaining product availability for assigned product lines.

You will work on projects across multiple departments that are aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing organization; electromechanical products preferred.
• Experience with lean manufacturing & Six-Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with irrigation products or industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve manufacturing issues on assigned product lines to improve quality and availability.
• Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to improve line performance and ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
• Support NPDI for new products to ensure repeatable, high-quality production.
• Maintain capacity models for injection molds and assembly equipment; participate in budgeting and capital requests.
• Lead or participate in cost reduction projects and vendor qualification.
• Evaluate products, lines, and processes, and recommend improvements.
• Develop BOMs, test procedures, and transfer designs to production.
• Provide technical support for failure analysis and warranty testing, prioritize improvements.
