Electrical Maintenance Technicians - West Chester, OH
Electrical Maintenance Technicians are responsible for leading,oversee and guidethemost complex and difficulttasks that are assignedtoMaintenance Technician I,II and III’s whoareresponsible for performing avarietyof skilled mechanicalwork in maintenance, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment whileprovidinghands on assistance as well. Theywillalso perform highly skilled mechanical and electricalworkunder the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Electrical Maintenance Technician's will have a strongworkingknowledgeand ability to perform alltask as specified within the Maintenance Technician I,II andIII’sposition descriptionsinadditiontothose specified withinthisdescription.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIESINCLUDETHEFOLLOWING:

- Lead, plan and review the work of in the Maintenance I, II, and III riles that are responsible for performing mechanical and/or electrical duties in the maintenance, repair, inspection, testing, and installation of mechanical/electrical equipment including structural.
- Observe or listen to machinery or equipmentoperationtodetect andidentifymalfunction.
- PerformPreventativemaintenanceworkonplantmachinery and facilitiesmaintenance.
- Develop,design orcreatenewapplications,ideas,systemsorproducts,includingartisticcontributions.
- Identify educational needs of others,develop educationalor trainingprogramsor classesand teach orinstruct others.
- Identify the developmental needs of others and byutilizingthe skillsof coachingand mentoringhelpothersto improve theirknowledge orskills.
- Installelectronicpower,communication,controlorsecurityequipmentorsystems.
- Repaircomputer-controlled manufacturingsystems.
- Provide guidance and expert advice to management or othergroupsortechnicalsystemsorprocessrelatedtopics.
- Interpret,explainandenforcedepartmentpoliciesandprocedures toreach fullandaccurate understanding.
- Operatevarioustools,instruments and equipment usedin thetesting and repairsof mechanicalequipment.
- Fabricate,assemble,anddisassemblemanufacturedproductsbyhand.
- Use acetylenewelding/cutting torches andcombinationweldingprocedures
- Useelectricalorelectronicdevices or equipment.
- Operatewithadvancedhandtoolsbothpoweredandmanual.
- Setupandoperateavarietyofmachinetoolssuchas a drillpress,latheand/orweldingequipment.
- Operate maintenance vehicles including aerial lifts,personneltransportvehiclesand forklifts.
- Workinasafeandefficientmannerinaccordancewithcompanypoliciesandprocedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years’ electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
- Military training and/or technical school preferred but not required.
- Computer experience/operation and PLC Programming
- Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and comply with all safety regulations.
- A thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Other Qualifications:
In-house electrical authorization must be obtained prior to conducting any electrical assignments.Working knowledge of:
- Operations,servicesandactivitiesofallareasofmechanicalandelectricalmaintenance.
- All equipment and supplies commonly used in the mechanical orelectricaltrade.
- Method and techniques pertaining to installation,maintenanceandrepairofmechanicalsystems.
- Occupational hazards and standard safety practices(Includingbutnotlimited to;NFPA, OE,OSHA,and WestRock).
- Operationalcharacteristicsofavarietyofmeasuringandtestingequipmentandtoolsformechanical
- maintenance.
- Applicable codes and ordinances related to mechanical trade.
- A person in this position must possess the ability to:
- Lead, organize and reviewtheworkofmaintenancestaff.
- Independently perform the most difficult mechanical maintenance,repair,installationandtesting functions on all but the most sophisticatedequipment.
- Workindependentlyintheabsenceofsupervision.
- Complete all work with quality workmanship and quality repairs.
- To perform this job successfully,an individual should possess working knowledge asitpertainstothe operations,services and activities performedbyand within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)program
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The starting rate is $32 per hour or more, depending on your role, level, and location.
