Job summary

3M is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical for its plant in Quapaw, OK. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and electrical systems, with emphasis on troubleshooting and PLC/VFD controls to keep production running.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance activities, performing preventive and corrective work, and reading schematics to diagnose issues while ensuring safety and Lean practices are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (or higher).
• Minimum of five years in pipefitter, welder, electrician, instrument/electronics technician, HVAC-R, or millwright roles.
• May be required to pass 3M testing as part of selection.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities to keep production equipment safe, reliable, and efficient.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, piping, instruments and electrical systems.
• Read electrical schematics and control drawings to diagnose and repair electrical and control issues.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and participate in Lean activities.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency maintenance needs, including PLCs and VFDs.
