Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Plaquemines, Louisiana is seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team. You will perform safe, efficient electrical maintenance work and collaborate with technicians and supervisors to ensure reliable LNG facility operation.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical standards, 5kV-138kV systems, and hands-on leadership to mentor peers and coordinate with EPC and maintenance teams through startup and ongoing

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of maintenance electrical technician experience in oil/gas, LNG, or petrochemical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards (NETA, NEC).
• Experience with power generation and distribution including 5kV-138kV systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS/SAP workflows and site maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective electrical maintenance per HSSE standards.
• Follow VGIMS, maintenance manual, and work management processes.
• Identify safety, health, and environmental hazards.
• Act as Electrical SME for maintenance systems and understand scope.
• Prepare job safety analyses and work permits in advance.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering to safely complete tasks.
• Maintain daily progress reports and adhere to processes.
• Supervise contractor work and ensure quality and safety.
• Mentor team members and uphold accountability.
• Identify tools/equipment/PPE needs for tasks.
• Support RFO maintenance projects and startup activities.
• Participate in commissioning, FAT/SAT tests, and reviews (HAZOP, P&ID).
