Job summary

Neogen is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Lansing, MI team. Shift options include Mon–Thu 4:00pm–2:30am or Tue–Fri 4:00pm–2:30am. You will focus on electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, test equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support operations to maximize uptime.

Responsibilities include repairs, documentation, and training staff, with weekend/overtime as needed. Join a mission-driven company delivering critical food-safety solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in repairing down equipment and performing preventive maintenance.
• Electrical experience preferred, with ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
• Test equipment for performance and ensure safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.
• Replace old or faulty electrical components and equipment.
• Provide technical support and training to staff on operation and maintenance.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Be available to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
• Contribute ideas to cut costs and increase production.
• Must be hands on and able to work unsupervised.
